Hazelnuts, honey, almonds and sultanas. These are the special ingredients in our Autumn biscotti.

Warm and comforting, perfect for an afternoon with friends or even for breakfast.
These crunchy biscuits contain the perfect mix of hazelnuts and almonds which, together with the sultanas and the honey take on a velvety tone.

100 g butter · 60 g brown sugar · 1 egg · 200 g wholemeal flower · 1 tsp baking powder · 50 g sultanas · 1 small cup of grappa · 30 g chopped hazelnuts · 50 g almonds · 2 tbsp honey

Soak the sultanas in a cup of grappa. In a bowl, mix the butter with the brown sugar, add the egg and then cream together.
Add the flour and the baking powder and mix to create a smooth, even biscuit dough. Finally add the drained sultanas and the chopped hazelnuts.
Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and place on a tray covered with baking paper, leaving a space between each one. Coarsely chop the almonds and mix with the honey.
Press each ball down gently and pour the almonds and honey over the biscotti.

Bake the Autumn biscotti in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
Leave to cool before serving.
