From walnut to baby mouse: a fun transformation

Do you want an idea for a fun activity to do with your kids?

Don’t throw away walnut shells: they can easily be transformed into cute little animals!

For example, if you’ve managed to open a walnut perfectly in half, you can create cute baby mice!

You just need:

  • walnut shells
  • adhesive eyes
  • Foam sheets of different colours
  • fine-tip permanent marker
  • quick glue

Process:

Draw on the coloured foam sheets the shape of the ears and tail of the mice, then cut them out and glue them on the walnut shell. Apply the adhesive eyes and draw the little nose of the mouse with the marker.

You can easily create a nice family of rodents using different colours for the eyes or changing the shape and size of ears and tail.

Your children will love it… and you too!
