Walnut crostata

This walnuts crostata is a tasty dessert for your most gourmand guests.
A stand-out dessert, it’s the perfect way to finish your meal, but also a great healthy snack for children and adults.

Ingredients

250 g flour · 100 g butter · 100 g sugar · 2 tbsp walnut liqueur · 100 g walnuts · 3 eggs · 2 cl milk · 1 cl whipping cream

Preparation

On a lightly floured work surface, knead the butter with the flour, 50 g of sugar and one egg, until you achieve a smooth, even dough. Leave to rest in a cool place for at least 1 hour.
Finely chop the walnuts and place in a bowl with one egg and the cream and mix together.
Roll out the dough using a floured rolling pin, line a buttered flan tin with your pastry and pour the walnut mixture on top.

Baking

Place the crostata in a preheated oven at 190°C.
Bake for around thirty minutes.
While your crostata is baking, beat the remaining egg in a dish with the sugar, add the milk, flavour with the walnut liqueur and leave the mixture to cook in a bain-marie for around ten minutes.
Serve the crostata with the whipped cream and decorate with walnuts as you please.
